Why the Shift Is So Hard: “Already Always Listening”
Werner Erhard described humans as meaning-making machines with an already always listening — an unconscious filter that shapes every interaction. By the time you’re aware of what’s happening, meaning has been assigned, contradictions filtered out, and reactions prepared.
This is why Model I is so sticky — you can’t question premises you can’t see.
NLP Meta Model: Precision Interruption
The NLP Meta Model (Grinder & Bandler, 1975) disrupts distortions, deletions, and generalizations in language — creating a momentary pause for reflection-in-action.
