📚 Origin Story: The Executive-First Revolution
Back in 2015, five private equity firms told Gerald O’Dwyer:
- “We don’t know how to build a bench of operators.”
- “We’d pay for it—but only after the deal closes.”
- “We’re flying blind. Investment banks are saying if we don’t have an angle, we’re not in the room.”
That feedback turned into a movement:
We called it ACG Light: No vendors. No noise. No fluff. Just serious executives. Serious firms.
That original DNA lives on in every conference we run.
And we never stopped.
What followed was a layered architecture of value:
